This is a one-and-a-half day symposium focusing on the frontiers of pharmacokinetics and toxicology research pertaining to drug development and drug usage. The specific theme "Metabolism and Drug Safety" will be expounded by renowned speakers in the field including Professor Dhiren Thakker (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill), and Professor Sidney Nelson (University of Washington, Seattle). A half-day graduate student/post-doc mini-symposium will be incorporated for scientific networking amongst burgeoning scientists. This will comprise a series of platform presentations of outstanding abstracts by winners of the Student/Post-doc Travel Awards.
